1999 (Freshman): Selected as AVCA District VII and WAC freshman of the year…also was the only freshman named to the all-WAC first team…ranked second on the squad in kills (3.31)….291 hitting percentage placed her sixth in WAC standings…put together 17 matches of double-figure kills, including a string of eight straight from Sept. 10 to Oct. 3…had five matches of double-figure digs…had season-high 19 kills twice in wins over UCLA (9/6) and USC (9/10)…notched 17 kills and hit .552 at San Jose State (10/29)…three double-doubles in kills and digs…had 12 kills and hit .500 vs. Colorado (9/17)…recorded season-high of 15 digs, three times against UCLA (9/6), Tennessee (9/10), and Texas A&M (12/9).

Prep: A 1999 graduate of Kamehameha Schools in Honolulu…led her high school team to consecutive state titles in 1997 and 1998 and was named Hawai'i state player of the year both seasons… chosen as Hawai'i High School Volleyball Athlete of the Year by the Gatorade Circle of Champions as well as Volleyball magazine second-team All-America in her junior and senior seasons…lettered two years in volleyball and one in track…coached in volleyball by Dan Kitashima…was an honor roll student during her senior year…transferred from Coronado High School in Lubbock, Texas, where she earned all-state honors in 1996…National Junior Honor Society member in the ninth grade.

Personal: Born Lily K. Kahumoku on June 24, 1981, in Charleston, S.C…chose UH because she wanted to stay in Hawai'i…enjoys skateboarding, surfing and being with friends…plans to major in psychology… career goal is to own a sports psychology firm… favorites include English, basketball legend Michael Jordan, country singer Garth Brooks and the movie "The Matrix"…craziest thing she ever did was jump off a bridge…has two sisters - Emily and Kelly…half-sister Jessica Alvarado played for Long Beach State …recruited by several major colleges but narrowed choices to UH and Colorado…parents are Gayle and Roscoe Kahumoku of Lubbock, Texas.
