
Robyn Ah Mow, one of the most successful
local products to play for Hawaii, begins her second season as
a student assistant coach. Her duties include aiding the coaching
staff with all phases of practice.
Ah Mow was instrumental in directing the
Rainbow Wahine to the 1996 Final Four and four straight regional
appearances (1993-96). During her last two years with the squad,
Ah Mow earned numerous awards and honors in acknowledgment of
her on-the-court skills and athleticism. Ah Mow was a two-time
first team All-American and was also selected to the American
Volleyball Coaches Association first team All-District 7. She
was a first team all-conference choice in both the Western Athletic
and Big West conferences.
In her senior campaign, Ah Mow tied Cheri
Boyers record for the most individual assists in a match with
83 against Colorado State. She closed out her UH career as second
all-time in assists per game (11.23) and total assists (4,313).
During her prep career, Ah Mow won four
letters in volleyball from McKinley High School where she graduated
in 1993. Her outstanding skills led her to becoming a four-year
first team All-Oahu Interscholastic Association East selection
and a three-time first team all-state pick.
Ah Mow is a senior majoring in sociology.
