Welcome
to the 2004 NCAA Men's National Collegiate Volleyball Championship
website!
From May 6-8, four of the nation's top collegiate men's volleyball
teams will battle for the chance to be named the 2004 NCAA
men's volleyball champions. The best programs from across
the nation will convene at the Stan Sheriff Center, located
on the beautiful campus of the University of Hawai`i at Manoa.
2004 marks the third time that Hawai`i will host an NCAA
Men's Volleyball Championship. UH hosted the 1991 tournament
at the Neal Blaisdell Center and held it again in 1998 at
the Stan Sheriff Center. The 10,300 seat Stan Sheriff Center
has been home to the Warriors' volleyball and basketball teams
for the past 10 years and annually boasts national attendance
records in men's and women's volleyball since its completion
in 1994. Volleyball fans set NCAA men's volleyball championship
records in 1998 for single-match attendance (9,822) and two-day
total attendance (18,901).
The 2004 season is shaping up to be a marquee year for many
Division I men's programs. Squads across the country are engaged
in fierce competition, vying to be among those traveling to
Honolulu in May and promising an extraordinary post-season
in the Stan Sheriff Center.
