1999: Played in seven matches as a reserve midfielder…took two shots, none on goal…season was cut short by a knee injury sustained Sept. 26 at Portland.

Ohlone Junior College: Played two seasons along with current Wahine teammate Michelle Edwards at Ohlone Junior College in Fremont, Calif.…selected a Junior College All-American after registering 43 points (12 goals, 19 assists) in 1998…also picked to the Junior College All-Western Region squad…voted 1998 Coast Conference Player-of-the-Year…helped lead Ohlone to back-to-back state and conference crowns…a first-team All-Coast Conference performer in 1997 and '98…also earned first-team All-Northern California State Team honors…also recruited by San Jose State, Cal State Sacramento, Chico State, Long Beach State, and the University of San Diego.

Prep: A 1997 graduate of Mission San Jose High School in Fremont, Calif.…lettered in soccer four years…voted to the All-Mission Valley Athletic League first team as a senior…an honor roll student.

Personal: Born June 11, 1979, in Hayward, Calif.…enjoys water skiing, watching movies, and running…would like to work in the business field upon graduation…favorites include the color royal blue, sushi, the movie "When Harry Met Sally," actress Meg Ryan, and the music group Third Eye Blind…lists playing in the California junior college state tournament as her biggest athletic thrill…has an older sister…parents are Cheryl and David Costa of Fremont, Calif.
